In Search of a Good Teacher

If we, teachers, only listen to our students, they could teach us a thing or two.

Karidme Rocha and Shawn Klesel are both wonderful students of mine in Geometry. Like a host of my former and current students, they're both on my Facebook friends list.

The following is part of a thread that stemmed from Kari's status that she posted on December 30th:

Kari:      In search of a prince charming:)
Shawn:      im a prince and im charming but i aint no prince charmingXD
Kari:      o wow Shawn lol you need to be both at the same time lolXD
Shawn:      hahaha only to certain ppl at certain timeXD

Upon reading this thread, I reflected. Face to face, I looked intently at this teacher that they call Mr. Jope.

You are a teacher, and you are good. But are you a good teacher?
Sometimes? All the time?

Good teacher TO WHOM?

  2. I just fished reading your blog "In search of a good teacher,"
yes your a teacher and yes your a good teacher! (:
nah let me change that your the most amazing teacher... I have ever had!
Mr. Jope is a good amazing awesome teacher if you ask me!
    why you ask?
He is a good amazing awesome teacher because the way he teaches it touches his students hearts.
He is not just a teacher but he is like a parent to us.
He is there to guide us step by step, He is there to see us go far ahead, He is doing what some of our parents aren't doing, He is encouraging us to succeed in life and to find a passion, he challenges us to better than what we think we are.
The way he teaches is beyond the horizon! You can tell he teaches us with a passion He loves what he does. He always puts his students first.
He gives the best advice ever, He is always pushing his students to do better because He knows we can do it but some of us are just to lazy, and yet He is there pushing us.
He is not only a teacher to me, He is like a father to me, not because my father doesn't act like father but because He is always there for us when we need him, He puts a smile on our grumpy faces, He gets us to have fun learning, He never gives up on us, and he loves just like we do too.
He also has this project going on called the Feet2Miles, when I first heard of what He was doing I was like ohh emm gee! I was in total shock because who knew a teacher would do that? I'm not trying to offend other teachers but they are always grumpy because we stress them out :l
I admire Mr. Jope, He does so much in so little time, I know God is blessing him each day God knows He is a great man who has a big heart <3
    God Bless you sir (:

  3. I agree with both of them :) You were born to teach. You take every opportunity to share the joy of learning without fail. Even in everyday life, your words are never random or futile... You bring joy to those around you and leave a lasting impression on everyone you meet. You exhude joy, calm, and sincerity and is evident in the way you teach. Your students love you not just because you are a good person ( which I can vouch for) but also a good teacher :) It's an honor being your friend :) God bless you and yours Kuya Rey :)
